Crown of the Navasse

Blending Western and Haïtian iconography, the Crown of Navasse features pearled arches. The phoenixes rising from flames symbolize rebirth and renewal - a nod to the Arms of Henry Christophe, later King Henry I of Haïti, who is a cognatic ancestor of the Royal Family. They are placed between shell leaves. A shell sits atop the crown, referencing La Sirène, Navasse’s tutelary deity.

Royal Coat of Arms

In the first and fourth is a crowned mermaid sounding a conch in gold against a blue background, referencing Navasse’s patron goddess, La Sirène. In the second and third are three gold shells (escallops) arranged in fess, representing the three main territories of Navasse, with gold crowns surmounting each against a red background. The royal dynastic shield surmounted by the Crown of Navasse, supported by two Sula Sula - red-footed booby, the national animal of Navasse - perched on rocks with crowns on their necks. The ocean is shown with a banner reading ‘Vires Sapientiae Virtus’ (Strength Wisdom Virtue). The shield is surrounded by the sash of the Most Royal & Illustrious Order of La Sirène, Navasse’s highest order of chivalry.

The monarch and the state use the Royal Coat of Arms as arms of dominion. Selected purveyors to the royal court can also display the royal insignia. Members of the royal family use the Medium Coat of Arms (without the supporters and banner).

State Flag

Also known as Sirène Royale, it is the official state flag of the Kingdom of the Navasse. Inspired by the Royal Coat of Arms, the flag is a quartered design with a blue field. In the first and fourth quarters, a golden silhouette of a crowned mermaid (a mermaid in her majesty) is depicted in a swimming pose. In the second and third quarters, three white escallops (scallop shells) are arranged in fess, two in chief and one in base.

Royal Standard

The Royal Standard is the personal flag of the Sovereign, displayed on any vehicle or building they are present in. The flag is a quartered design with a blue field, with the Crown of the Navasse in each quarter. The Royal Family arms is featured in the center.
